Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: January 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") describes what is and isn't allowed when using Move ("the Service"), operated by 9th Designs, LLC. It applies to everyone — event organizers, space hosts, ticket buyers, members, calendar subscribers, and anyone else interacting with content on m0ve.app, the Move iOS app, or any related Move products.

By using Move, you agree to follow this AUP. It supplements our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy — those documents apply too, and where this AUP is silent, those documents fill the gaps.

We're a small platform. We trust people to use Move in good faith. This AUP exists for the rare cases when someone doesn't.

What you may not do

You may not use Move to:

Break the law

  • Engage in or promote any activity that violates applicable local, state, federal, or international law, including U.S. sanctions, export controls, or anti-money-laundering laws.
  • Sell or distribute regulated goods or services without proper licensing — including alcohol, tobacco, cannabis, firearms, prescription drugs, or financial products.
  • Sell counterfeit goods, stolen property, or items you don't have the right to sell.
  • Facilitate illegal gambling, illegal lotteries, or unlicensed games of chance.
  • Sell tickets to events you are not authorized to sell tickets for.

Harm others

  • Threaten, harass, stalk, defame, or intimidate any person.
  • Promote, glorify, or incite violence, terrorism, or hatred against any individual or group based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics.
  • Share or facilitate the sharing of non-consensual intimate imagery, content depicting child sexual abuse, or any content that sexualizes minors.
  • Dox, expose, or distribute another person's private information without their consent.
  • Impersonate another person, organization, or affiliation in a way that's deceptive or causes harm.

Deceive users or buyers

  • Misrepresent yourself, your event, your space, or what someone is buying or signing up for.
  • Run a fraudulent ticketing or membership scheme — including selling tickets to events that won't take place, charging for memberships you can't deliver, or running pyramid/MLM schemes through paid spaces.
  • Use Move to launder money, process unauthorized chargebacks, or evade payment-processor rules.
  • Manipulate ratings, reviews, RSVPs, or member counts to mislead other users.

Abuse the platform

  • Attempt to disrupt, overload, or interfere with Move's infrastructure (denial-of-service attacks, scraping at unreasonable rates, automated requests outside our public API or documented integrations).
  • Attempt to access another user's account, data, calendar, or space without their explicit permission.
  • Probe, scan, reverse-engineer, or test the security of Move's systems without our written permission. (Responsible security disclosure is welcome — email [email protected].)
  • Bypass any rate limit, paywall, member gate, content filter, or access control.
  • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute access to Move without our written agreement.
  • Train AI models on, scrape, or systematically extract content created by other users without their permission.

Misuse messaging and communications

  • Send unsolicited bulk messages, spam, or commercial promotions through Move's announcement, SMS, or email tools to people who didn't opt in.
  • Use Move's messaging tools to phish, distribute malware, or run scams.
  • Forge headers, sender identities, or routing information in any communication sent through Move.

Misuse content tools

  • Upload viruses, malware, ransomware, or any code intended to damage or interfere with another user's device or data.
  • Upload content you don't own or have a license to share — including copyrighted music, films, books, software, or images you don't have rights to.
  • Upload content in violation of any third party's intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights.

Misuse payment processing

  • Process payments for any of the activities prohibited above.
  • Process payments for goods or services you cannot legally sell in the buyer's jurisdiction.
  • Use Move's payment processing (Stripe, PayPal, or any other integrated processor) in violation of those processors' own acceptable use policies. Their rules apply on top of ours, and a violation of their rules is also a violation of ours.

What you must do

When using Move, you also agree to:

  • Provide accurate information when registering for an account, listing an event, or creating a paid space.
  • Honor the events, memberships, and goods you sell. If you can't deliver, issue refunds promptly.
  • Comply with applicable consumer-protection, refund, and tax laws in your jurisdiction.
  • Respect the privacy and consent of attendees, members, and people you share calendars or events with.
  • Keep your account secure. Don't share credentials. Notify us immediately of suspected unauthorized access.
  • Comply with all instructions from Move regarding the use of the Service.

Reporting violations

If you believe someone is violating this AUP, please report it to [email protected]. Include the URL, username, or specific event/space involved, along with a description of the issue.

For copyright complaints, please follow our DMCA process described in the Terms of Service.

For urgent issues involving threats of imminent harm, contact local law enforcement first, then notify us.

How we enforce this policy

We review reports of AUP violations on a case-by-case basis. We try to be reasonable and proportionate. Depending on the severity, repeat nature, and impact of a violation, we may:

  • Issue a warning and ask you to correct the issue.
  • Remove specific content, events, spaces, or calendars.
  • Restrict your account's ability to send messages, accept payments, or grow membership.
  • Suspend your account temporarily.
  • Permanently terminate your account, with or without notice.
  • Withhold pending payouts pending review (subject to applicable law).
  • Cooperate with law enforcement and disclose information as required by valid legal process.

For severe violations — including content involving child safety, fraud, threats of violence, or anything that puts other users at meaningful risk — we will suspend or terminate accounts immediately and without warning.

We're not obligated to monitor content posted on Move, but we reserve the right to do so. Our decisions about what violates this AUP are made at our discretion.

Changes to this policy

We may update this AUP from time to time as Move grows and as we learn from how people use the platform. When we make material changes, we'll post the updated version here and update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of Move after the changes take effect means you agree to the updated policy.
