Requirements

An iPhone or iPad on a current version of iOS or iPadOS, and an Apple ID for the App Store.

On Android or the web, m0ve.app works in any modern browser.

Install

  1. Open the App Store link above on your iPhone or iPad, or search the App Store for Move Events.
  2. Tap Get, confirm with Face ID, Touch ID or your Apple ID password, then tap Open.
  3. Sign in with your Move account, or create one. Everything you already have on the web is there.
  4. When asked, allow notifications so event reminders and messages reach you. You can change this later in Settings → Notifications → Move.
Updates arrive through the App Store. Leave automatic updates on, or check App Store → your profile → Available Updates.

Mac

Move for macOS

A native window for Move in your Dock, with notifications, huddles and voice channels. Choose the build for your Mac's chip.

Which chip does my Mac have?

Open the Apple menu → About This Mac. A line saying Apple M1, M2, M3 or M4 means Apple Silicon; one saying Intel means Intel. Macs sold since late 2020 are almost all Apple Silicon.

Requirements

macOS 11 Big Sur or later. About 300 MB of disk space.

Install

  1. Download the .dmg for your Mac from the cards above.
  2. Open the downloaded file and drag Move onto the Applications folder in the window that appears.
  3. Open Move from Applications, Launchpad or Spotlight (⌘ Space, then type Move). You can eject the disk image afterwards.
  4. Sign in with your Move account. The app remembers you between launches.

If macOS says Move can't be opened or can't be checked for malicious software: Control-click Move in Applications, choose Open, then click Open again. On macOS 15 Sequoia or later, open System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll down and click Open Anyway next to Move. You only need to do this once.

Updates: Move checks for new versions in the background and asks before restarting. To check now, use Move → Check for Updates… in the menu bar.

Windows

Move for Windows

A one-click installer that sets Move up for your user account, no administrator password needed. Choose the build for your PC's processor.

Which build do I need?

Open Settings → System → About and look at System type. “ARM-based processor” means ARM64 (Snapdragon PCs such as the Surface Pro X). Anything else is x64, which covers almost every PC.

Requirements

Windows 10 or later, 64-bit. About 300 MB of disk space.

Install

  1. Download the .exe installer for your PC from the cards above.
  2. Open the downloaded file. It installs in a few seconds, adds Move to the Start menu and your desktop, and starts the app.
  3. Sign in with your Move account. The app remembers you between launches.
  4. To remove it later, use Settings → Apps → Installed apps → Move → Uninstall.

If Windows SmartScreen shows “Windows protected your PC”: click More info, then Run anyway. This happens with new downloads Windows hasn't seen many times yet.

Updates: Move checks for new versions in the background and asks before restarting. To check now, use Help → Check for Updates….
